He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling, sealing, and empowering them to glorify God and do His will unto the day of redemption.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr align=\"left\" size=\"10\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<blockquote><p><strong>SALVATION &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"color: #0172cb;\">We believe<\/span> that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr align=\"left\" size=\"10\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<blockquote><p><b>THE MINISTRY AND SPIRITUAL GIFTS &#8211;\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"color: #0172cb;\">We believe<\/span> that God is sovereign in the bestowing of spiritual gifts. It is, however, the believer\u2019s responsibility to attempt to develop their God given spiritual gift(s). We also believe that particular spiritual gift(s) are neither essential, nor prove the presence of the Holy Spirit, nor are an indication of deep spiritual experience. <span style=\"color: #0172cb;\">We believe<\/span> that God does hear and answer the prayer of faith, in accordance with His own will, for the sick and afflicted. <span style=\"color: #0172cb;\">We believe<\/span> that it is the privilege and responsibility of every believer to minister according to the gift(s) and grace of God that is given to Him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr align=\"left\" size=\"10\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<blockquote><p><b>THE 2ND COMING &#8211;\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"color: #0172cb;\">We believe<\/span> that the second coming of Christ is the blessed hope of the church, the grand climax of the gospel. The Saviour\u2019s coming will be literal, personal, visible, and worldwide. <!--When He returns, the righteous dead will be resurrected, and together with the righteous living will be glorified and taken to heaven, but the unrighteous will die. The almost complete fulfillment of most lines of prophecy, together with the present condition of the world, indicates that Christ\u2019s coming is near. -->The time of that event has not been revealed, and we are therefore exhorted to be ready at all times.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr align=\"left\" size=\"10\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<blockquote><p><b>BAPTISM &#8211;\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"color: #0172cb;\">We believe<\/span>\u00a0that by baptism we confess our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and testify of our death to sin and of our purpose to walk in newness of life. \u00a0<!--Baptism is a symbol of our union with Christ, the forgiveness of our sins, and our reception of the Holy Spirit. It is by immersion in water and is contingent on an affirmation of faith in Jesus and evidence of repentance of sin. It follows instruction in the Holy Scriptures and acceptance of their teachings.--><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr align=\"left\" size=\"10\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<blockquote><p><b>THE SABBATH &#8211;\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"color: #0172cb;\">We believe<\/span>\u00a0the gracious Creator, after the six days of Creation, rested on the seventh day and instituted the Sabbath for all people as a memorial of Creation. <!--The fourth commandment of God\u2019s unchangeable law requires the observance of this seventh-day Sabbath as the day of rest, worship, and ministry in harmony with the teaching and practice of Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath. -->The Sabbath is a day of delightful communion with God and one another. It is a symbol of our redemption in Christ, a sign of our sanctification, <!--a token of our allegiance, -->and a foretaste of our eternal future in God\u2019s kingdom. <!--The Sabbath is God\u2019s perpetual sign of His eternal covenant between Him and His people. -->Joyful observance of this holy time from evening to evening, sunset to sunset, is a celebration of God\u2019s creative and redemptive acts.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr align=\"left\" size=\"10\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<blockquote><p><b>THE CHURCH &#8211;\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"color: #0172cb;\">We believe<\/span> that the church, which is the body and bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again believers. We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures. We recognize believer\u2019s baptism and the Lord\u2019s supper as scriptural means of testimony for the church.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>Who is Jesus?<\/h2>\n<p>This is the story God is telling:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Creation:<\/strong> God created a good world (Gen. 1.31, Ps. 19.1-4).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fall:<\/strong> Humans sinned, and our sin affected relationships with God, others, ourselves, and creation (Gen. 3:1-19, Is. 53.6, Rom. 1.21-23, Rom. 1:28-32, Gal. 5.19-21).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Redemption:<\/strong> Jesus, the Son of God, came, died for our sins, and rose from the dead making available new life through Him. (Gen. 3.15, Luke 1.31-35, John 1.1-14, John 3.16, Luke 4.18-19, Rom. 5.12-21, Matt. 28.1-10, 1 Cor. 15.20-28, 1 Tim. 2:5, Matt. 28.18).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Restoration:<\/strong> As redeemed people, we join God in His work of restoring all things (2 Cor. 5.15-17, Matt. 28.18-20, Gen. 1.28-31, Mic. 6.8, Matt. 5.9) and await Christ\u2019s return (Rev. 22.7).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #0172cb;\">Our Mission: &#8220;Getting people to the presence of God through worship, intercession and the word.&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We exist to honor God and exalt the risen Savior, Jesus Christ, by building\u00a0Christ-center ministries and people.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0172cb;\"><strong>Our Vision: &#8220;Pursuing the presence of God&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Oasis of Hope is devoted to doing the will of the Lord. \u00a0We seek His face, His will, and His ways. \u00a0In doing so we will fulfill His plans for us in this earth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Discover More Our Beliefs 7 Pillars Leadership We believe\u2026 THE SCRIPTURES &#8211;\u00a0We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible, and God-breathed.
